Links to external URL's

Would it be too hard to make all links that lead to external URL's open the link in a new window or tab as a default? Quite annoying when I click on link forgetting to right click first.

I think I "fixed" that at least once in the past, but it involved a change to the code that got overwritten by the last update. The main drawback is that it affected all URLs, not just external ones.
I'll see what I can do.

I think I found -- and changed -- the relevant bits, one line each in three files to add a "target=_blank" option to an HTML anchor statement.
If this doesn't work, or causes unexpected and incorrect behavior, please gripe here or directly to the 'barista" address.
