Our New Moderator, Uncle Al

Post by Bob »

I would like to welcome Uncle Al as an esteemed moderator in this great Cafe. The other two moderators are myself and crfriend. Uncle Al has been a long-time contributor to the Cafe. And he has impeccable taste in kilted fashions, as his avatar clearly shows. I hope that everyone will show him the respect he deserves, as he works tirelessly to keep the potted palm watered, the coffee flowing and the conversation going.

Welcome, Uncle Al! I'll let you introduce yourself further in this space.

Thank you Bob!

I feel honored being asked to become a moderator at Skirt Cafe'.

If I may, a brief history may be in order.

I started at Tom's Cafe' around 1998-99 and went through the
various migrations of forum types. Then Noodles continued the
Cafe' until a new owner/operator was found. Bob was a good
choice, by Noodles, to become the new owner/operator. And
like any good owner, he lets his assistant(crfriend) do most
of the work

I enjoy cooking but don't like to wash the dishes, pots & pans. But
to continue my cooking, I must 'Do the Dishes'. So with the new
'duties' of being a moderator, I will be watching for any 'scorched
cookware' and try to keep it from being burnt onto the pan.

I'm sure that Bob and Carl have discussed this position,
and I appreciate their vote of confidence.

Thank you :!:

I don't mind doing the dishes for you if you play the organ to keep me company. I think you are a wonderful addition to the behind the scenes kitchen crew, Uncle Al! Thank you for pitching in to make this place continue to work well. :D
