When Islam gets stronger, it grows more intollerant. Can you say Taliban?

Sadly, that cuts both ways. The only difference between "our" Taleban and "their" Taleban is that ours (the US, that is) wear ties. Fundamentalist nuts are fundamentalist nuts; it matters not one whit whether they tighten to the right or the left. Unfortunately, they call the shots in the US at the moment.

Haven't looked at the link above, but I did see a CNN report recently about Gender Reassignment Surgery in Iran.
Apparantly, the state helps pay for some of the surgery cost.
They mentioned in the story that even the Aytollah Kohmeini[sic?] said that there was nothing in the Koran against a person changing their sexual identity.
I don't see that playing well with Christianity.
How about Judaism?
