Is this order taught in primary or secondary schoo-ools ?
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Well here in Victoria a report on the news last night was that 10% of graduates that finished their teaching Bachelor degree FAILED year 10 maths and grammar/spelling tests, we life in a sad uneducated world.

Erm,
The step-hen is here, alive and kickin'.
Definitely, not Steve, Stevie or Steven.
My Ma and Grandma said "Stephen"!
I certainly wasn't for contradictin',

Steve.
I believe the root is actually Greek and means garland or crown.
St.Stephen was the first Christian Martyr and his day is 26th December.
It is a common Scottish surname, my paternal Grandmother's maiden-name and hence to me.
I rather believe that they couldn't decide on a suitable name for me and my father declined to allow his to be used which was John.
There is another tale to be told regarding that and not here.

The original report was from some years ago, December 2015 in fact.

Things may have improved since then.

But it's a bit sad that they (whoever they are) feel compelled to recycle old news to try to denigrate today's university leavers.

Not many people are aware of the silent "p" in bath.

And then there's "rap," the only word in the English language that starts with a silent "c."

This reminds me of a Dutchman who had originally found the silent letters in English were confusing, but eventually realised it was a good idea and decided to introduce silent figures into Dutch.  He wanted to begin by adding an extra '0' to his salary.

Oh, come on: A woman's scowl; sign language; meditation messages; psychic channeling from your ex; Fido's eyes when you eat the last bite from the barbie -- all loud and clear, so surely you jest!

Flud....

Say no more

And then there's the Reading Festival.
I know of a young child who was very upset when she found out it wasn't about books!
