This is an FYI/Reminder of the proper way to "quote" someone "MANUALLY".
The code is [.....] and you replace the dots in the middle with quote to start
the quote. At the end of the portion you're quoting, type [.....] and replace the dots
with/quote to finish the quote. Otherwise - - nothing gets properly quoted.
Using "The Manual" option, lets you go back and copy the portion you want
to quote, followed by your comments about the quote from the post.
Another way is to use the " at the top of the original post, then edit out(delete)
the portions you don't want quoted. Either way lets the rest of the members
know that you're referring to another post or part of a post.
Example;
Incorrect format [/quote]My dog has fleas[/quote]
Correct format {quote}My dog has fleas{/quote} Change the { } to [ ]
To include a members name you would use the following starting format;My dog has fleas
{quote=Joe Brown} He's back!{/quote} Again change the { } to [ ]
Joe Brown wrote:He's back!
