Mother Nature's Christmas light

Post by moonshadow »

I have to say, after this year, I find some level of solace in this...

Perhaps an omen towards a brighter 2021?

It makes me think of my all time favorite Christmas song...

I tend to sing this rather loudly whilst looking out my window at least three or four times every season...

I have two telescopes, a reflector and a refractor, and they'll be out that night if we have clear skies.

I'm trying to find a 6" dobsonian locally, but they're all sold out. Even online sources are only taking preorders!

I wonder if this will be visible from downunder.
Anyone know?

I have an 8" Celeston Neutonian reflector, through which on a clear night I've had the pleasure of seeing Saturn, rings and all plus 5 moons. Our problem is that we only on average get one clear night in nine, so I'm not banking on anything.

I don't know what is worse, I have about 1 cloudy night in 9 but no telescope. I suppose one can buy a telescope but not fine weather.
