I did know it wasn't reusable. A lot is still used in roads, and simply gets replaced when it starts cracking and falling apart. A lot of it gets buried in the medians between divided highways.
Asphalt, on the other hand, is able to be melted back down and reused, but it has a bad rap because it's an oil product.
