Christmas at Organ Grinder recorded 1983

Post by Uncle Al »

I know it's early but the music is pretty darned good :D
Be sure to read the description before playing the clip.

Christmas at the Organ Grinder with Jonas Nordwall

Now, the organist has white hair.
That's what 37 years of Theater Organ Playing can do ;)

Great stuff, Uncle AL. The guy doesn't half fly, though. Great to listen to, but mostly far too fast for a singalong. I used to enjoy attending shows where the organist entertained to projected words on a big screen so everyone sang along.

Fabulous instrument and he looks totally at home playing it.

Hi Tom :D

I agree that the music is too fast. Since this was recorded in 1983, some
of the recording 'technology' used doesn't match what we have today.
I've heard Jonas play live and this recorded version is not how he really plays.
Could be the "show" was compressed when converting to YouTube.

Anyway, I hope this brightened some spirits :D

Hi Uncle Al,
Really great music but as you and Tom said a bit fast. I can almost guarantee it was compressed for YouTube.
But enjoyed it very much..
