Must have been an American thing as I've never heard of him or the programme.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

It was an American programme -- but very much worth the watch. I fondly recall watching it with my late ex- before her brain imploded. See if you can find some episodes on YouTube.
