Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.

Yes, We couldn't have timed it better. We were returning South from Portree on Skye through the Sound of Sleat and along the coast towards Mull when the wind dropped, so we had to motor. It was a glorious day and we took the opportunity to stop off at the little island of Staffa, where Finglal's Cave is. It is composed of vertical hexagonal and heptagonal basalt columns like the Giant's Causeway in Co. Antrim in Ireland, not very far away.
When we saw the youths climbing over the columns with their machine we were expecting our peace to be ruined, assuming they'd play pop music.
What a glorious surprise, and we were very fortunate to have been in there when they played it.

Sir, you have the most wonderful talent for understatement.
The fact that members of a younger generation would even contemplate the trek for that gives one a glimmer of hope that it hasn't all gone to pot yet -- and with some more luck, perhaps won't.
