Franklin TN Alderman Dana McLendon dispenses male advice

Post by moonshadow »

Okay, I stumbled across this yesterday. This video is intended to be fun and light hearted, that said, it may come off a bit sexist and yes I know that "tranny" is considered a derogatory term for transgender, however he basically says they're the perfect women so it balances out... :P

Viewer discretion is advised... do not view unless you have a sense of humor. :D

Jenn, this is what I was laughing at yesterday in the van... the part when he said "Unicorn".

Sorry, Moon, I have an excellent sense of humour but this didn't appeal to me. Didn't get to the end of it. :?

I found it to be close to the truth.

Why do aldermen wear guns in TN :?: :?:
Do they feel threatened by the people they represent :?:

Misogyny taken to an extreme and pretty tasteless with it. Not my area of humour at all. I wouldn't give either of them the time of day.

I selected the link (into a parallel window), saw the duration of the video and the opening frame and realised that it was entirely likely that I have neither the time nor thought-set to realistically accommodate it. Having stared down the muzzle of a sidearm aimed at me I have no use for that BS -- that has no place in civil society.

It's all down to life experience.

Yes, I'm not sure what that little scene was all about. I venture a guess it's part of the opening line of this particular you-tubers brand of video.

That being said, the video actually had nothing to do with firearms.

It's too bad you didn't give it a go. For some reason I was thinking that you would have enjoyed it, though I did expect some blow back from a few as it was clear on the other end of "politically correct".

Meh... different strokes for different folks... no worries or hard feelings. :)

Like many of you, the first half of the video led me to believe that this is going to be nothing but bigoted redneck dribble, but I watched through to the end and as I said above.. the "Unicorn" comment did get a chuckle out of me, and I thought it would be cool to share. Perhaps this type of humor is easier for me to swallow because I'm exposed to this type of culture daily, so I've adapted to a degree.

Amusing but I would not like to be them when their other half sees this!
