Music keeps you young at heart

Post by Uncle Al »

This clip is about a ‘Special Young Lady’ who played piano during
Josh Turner’s debut at the Grand Ol’ Opry. He had his wife’s 98
year old grandmother come on stage to play ‘How Great Thou Art’.

I heard a couple of off-notes but at 98 years old – WHO CARES!
This shows that music keeps you young at heart :!:

Is it a normal style of music to basically play what I would call the normal tune that I recognise with the right hand and let the left hand just do what it feels like without any real connection to what the right hand is doing? It didn't always make it easy to follow the tune and wasn't anything that appealed to me. But more power to her in being able to play so well at her age. And yes, UA I think I detected a few bum notes but then I'm not a piano player and my hearing isn't the best.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
