Interesting album cover art...
Looks a bit too masculine to be female. The dress depicted looks comfortable.
Image is the cover art for the third album produced by Moderat - a German electronic music trio. I suspect most of us here wouldn't care for their music, but some would.

I tend to see it as male and not female. What are you basing your idea on .by skirtyscot » Looks female to me!

Re: Interesting album cover art...
Hmmm. That's what made me think male and not female.

OK. So her face is androgynous. But even if I cover her dress, she still looks female. I am perfectly willing to admit that I am still influenced by having seen the dress, but she still looks female to me.
Keep on skirting,

I've seen the occasional woman on my bus that looks that androgynous. She seems to have lost her right thumb though.

I guess we'd have to ask the artist and see if they were going for androgynity or not.
The right hand is supposed to symbolize the name of the album, hence the three fingers being shown. Actually pretty easy to do. Feels weird of course. Fold your pinky finger downward and fold your thumb inward.

Hmmmm. Im with John on this one. I see a boy... but my first thought was that he was a Vulcan, only without the ears. As I have learned from my daughter, when it comes to animations and cartoon drawings, (i.e. anime) you can never assume the sex of the character.

I would be more inclined to think that the character in the illustration is one of the elvish creatures found in the dungeons and dragons realm myself.
