Astronomy -- at close range
Southern New England and eastern New York state were visited on late Sunday afternoon by a close-up and fairly spectacular meteor which produced a bright flash and a long streak behind it. Here's the news story on the evening telly.
I have noted in the past my predilection for surrounding myself with interesting folks. In the story above, one of my close friends appears at about 01:02 into the video, and the façade of the place he looks after should look familiar to folks here as a couple of images of yours truly were shot there.
So, more stardust has settled to Earth. Things continue apace. Life is good.
