Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
I first saw her in the film Fantastic Voyage.
She turned many male heads where ever she went.
She spent three Christmases touring with Bob Hope as
he visited American armed forces overseas.
May she Read In Peace

When asked 'Why the Kilt?'
I respond-The why is F.T.H.O.I. (For The H--- Of It)
When I was a boy, Raquel Welch was absolutely the first name in glamorous actresses.
They played a splendid clip from a 1970 BBC radio interview this morning, in which she told a supercilious interviewer to his face that he was being supercilious.
Raquel Welch was born in 1940. When Fantastic Voyage and One Million Years BC
appeared in 1966, she was about 26 years old. At that time she was a bit glamorous.

And unlike so many starlets, Ms. Welch managed to retain that glamour and vivaciousness throughout her long career. She was a true gem in a field largely of coal.
