Interesting exhibit at the New York (NY, NY/USA) Public Libr

G'day, gents.

I just got back from a truly-needed couple of weeks' holiday from my usually drab wretched life and received a bit of a boost from an exhibit I stumbled onto (with profound thanks to my dear wife) at the main branch of the New York Public Library -- an exhibit on the evolution (or is that "de-evolution") of male garb from the time of body paint (think "Pict") to the modern "grey man" who either wears a suit or "casual" gear consisting of things like jeans, t-shirts, and trainers. It's a simultaneously uplifting and depressing walk through time.

If you're in the NYC area, it's on the third floor in the Salomon room. There's a summary of it at:

No, sadly, I wasn't wearing a skirt at the time; it was about six degrees Farenheit, and that's a wee bit cold for me -- even wearing tights.

Cheers.
