The Next Kilt Step - What Would You Do?
The Next Kilt Step - What Would You Do?
My wife is now OK with me wearing kilts, which is great. She has Scots connections, though, which helps. She is even OK with my preferred modern mode of wearing them (casual top, trainers, etc ), but gives a bit of a frown to my black one because it's not tartan. For summer time I would like to ditch the heavy-duty plaid and buy a modern cotton kilt, but I don't want to push my luck in case I have to go back to square one.
Any advice welcome.

Most of his kilts are polyester, made in Pakistan, but some are wool mix. I've bought two lightweight polyester ones from him - very comfortable and they do actually look like Scottish kilts though with only about half the pleats.
