Anyone ever dealt with http://www.herrenrock.de/?

Post by Reject »

Sorry for being rather brief here, but Im just wondering if anyone has ever dealt with this site before:

http://www.herrenrock.de/

I can spot some very interesting stuff there and Im considering ordering. But somehow, the site looks a bit semi-dubious...or am I being paranoid?

Thanks for any possible insight...

no, you're not being paranoid, the site is not semi-dubious, its verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry dubious, extremely dubious, nice boots tho...although they did remind me of something called "Jackboots" although I don't really remember who wore them or when. The skirts remind me of someone making skirts with one of those "pump it with your foot" sewing machines and they really need a new wig for the mannequin. Those are the roughest looking skirts I've ever seen. DEFINITELY masculine. Nothing feminine there for sure. Might have been made by Vikings in 900 AD. Except for the zippers which I don't think Vikings had. Seriously though, for my personal feelings about the site, it just doesn't seem very professional to me. But thats just my opinion, and I may be wrong. Lord knows Ive been wrong before.

Try this link, http://www.minikilt.de/, and call them and/or email them. But their "kilts" are all backwards, with the pleats in front...hmmmm...still rather strange.

That's interesting

Interesting, looks like the pleats are all the way around, the pictures on the left of hammer throwing, parading and marching are all real Scots with correct kilts. From the look of the mannequin which is the exact same one as the other site has its just another URL for the same people. Their making nice kilty looking skirts but that's all they are. They shouldn't advertise those as "kilts" because they just aren't kilts. They should call them "kilt skirts". I'm really not impressed with their research into kiltmaking but just feel that it is a few people that saw the influx of skirt wearing men in Germany and got on the bandwagon. :shake:
