jumpers

Post by knickerless »

I though jumpers were the same every where - jumpers are wooly jumpers - cardigans without buttons - you stick your head thru the head hole and your arms up the sleeves and pull them on - what do the americans call Jumpers then and what do they mean when they speak of jumpers?

in America

In America there are several kinds of Jumpers, base jumpers, bridge and skyscraper jumpers, a jumper dress, people with parachutes that jump out of perfectly good airplanes( I have no idea why) hoping that their parachute WILL open before they slam into the ground.

Check farther up this thread, there's a picture of Mary Jane Boy wearing a bright red Jumper dress. In EL Buitre's photos, he is wearing a dress that is also of the American Jumper style, it's checkered. Also you might check Google or another search engine under "Jumper Dress".. Good luck with your answers. :)
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

UK: "Jumper" = US: "Sweater" or "Pullover"

US: "Jumper" = A dress, usually sleeveless, usually about knee length, frequently knitted.
