My look - I hope it looks normal

General discussion of skirt and kilt-based fashion for men, and stuff that goes with skirts and kilts.

Good on you. Just doing the 'normal' stuff without acting like weird -- the "just own it" advice you see here frequently, and you find it works just fine. A few more trips and it will be ho-hum for you, the kids, and the teachers. Sometimes it takes the parents a bit longer to not be surprised, but they too will roll with it like any other place.

The private schools here know me as I teach mini-courses in chess; but I've attended graduations and such at the public school --as the invited guest, and never an issue -- all eyes are on the students anyway.

So now you've broken another "barrier" -- what is next?

I have a lot of work to do in my relationship with people, men and woman. I struggle with relationships. My family love me so I'm not all bad.

Stevie from the cafe Scottish contingent is meeting a reporter in January to promote MIS. I would like to take part in that.

I'm a big fan of this skirt. My 90's curtains some would say :)
Going right back to the top of this thread, I'm a fan of that skirt too! It looks like great fun to wear.

And jumping to the most recent posts, what was your first outfit for the playground?
Keep on skirting,

Yes it's lovely, so light and fun. Bit chilly in the winter.
What did I wear for my first playground visit? For a while I went in all sorts, then confidence deserted me and I went back to trousers. Then a tarten skirt, then a black pleated cotton silk mix is where I got confidence back.
My very first in the playground skirt was my grey pleated skirt.

Here is a photo of me and my daughter, who is an inspiration to me. I'll post a better photo of the skirt in the morning when the light is better.

We were out walking at Man Sands near Brixham

Here's a better pic of the skirt

Both looking very natural and relaxed. Your skirt look nice and flowy which would be great for walking.

Perhaps 'walking' is an exaggeration. We at least walked the oneish mile from the carpark to the beach.

Along with her little brother, they set an example that a lot of folks would do well to follow.
Kids like them give me hope for the future.
Steve.
Nice titfer, too.

I thought I would post up today's outfit.
A very comfortable seasalt blue skirt with shells and a black teeshirt.
Perfect lounge about Sunday clothes

Looks perfectly comfortable, serviceable, and suitable for any activity.
At home, or out and about.
Assuming the skirt has belt loops and pockets, that could be me.
Except for the Crocs. I don't have those.

Belt hoops and pockets are rare in skirts. I have had to get used to carrying my phone wallet and keys in my hands. It's a small price to pay for wearing a skirt.

I don't really know why skirts don't generally have belt hoops and pockets like trousers as standard.

My blue shell skirt has pockets but no loops. The pockets are a bit shallow and the skirt is slightly loose. I don't trust the pockets and I might put a small fold at the waist line to take up the slack.

The crocs are great for the house and I would not wear them out.
