Houdini Unisex Skirts
This is interesting:
https://houdinisportswear.com/en-us/clo ... =649944900
https://houdinisportswear.com/en-us/clo ... =101074900
Even though they are listed under the Men's category, they put them in "Pants". Kinda pricey, and also simple/plain designs.

No Thanks
Way too pricey for what you get.

1. That’s “too”, not “to”.
2. I’m not sure I agree. It’s a technical material, waterproof. It’s lightweight and also recyclable. This is not a cheap polyester skirt. It’s functional.
It’s not cheap but I don’t think it’s a rip-off.
It’s also miles better looking than a Macabi skirt.

Yea, I’d wear The Square.

Re: Houdini Unisex Skirts
Price aside, I am not sure that I see the point on the technical side.
There is no practical way for a knee length skirt to be wholly windproof.
Other point is one size and waist is given as 68 to 98 inches. I had heard that Americans are quite chunky but that is quite a wide spread,
Surely a mistake or is it the dreaded Metric Gremlin creeping in?
In high country in cold and windy weather, woollen or high quality insulated trousers will always be superior even to a floor sweeper.
Happy to say that this is probably the only scenario when I'd argue for the bifurcated.
Steve.

Looks like you just keep wrapping it round you until it fits.
I would imagine some tent material, hemmed, wrapped round and held in place with a belt would be far cheaper and just as effective.
I have fleece / fur lined thermal tights for hiking on really cold days (and always hike skirted regardless). I have only used them once since I bought them as they really are too warm unless it is below zero °C.

Too long and/or too expensive.

Re: Houdini Unisex Skirts
The "sleepwalker" seems OK value for a feather insulated skirt, although rather dull and the others would not interest me at all.
Like the model T Ford; any colour so long as it is black.

I have two skirts from www.skhoop.us that are similar to the heavier skirt.
They are also expensive.
Maybe they are named Houdini because they make your money disappear.

But that wouldn't be made from 2-way stretchable waterproof material weighing in at 216g.
It's aimed at walkers, and it looks like it might work on a bike too. The price is definitely in the material, and way too high for me.

At least those have some design to them - ie, quilted stitching on the front, and fun colors.photoguy207 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 4:56 am I have two skirts from www.skhoop.us that are similar to the heavier skirt.

Seems to be aimed at those with more money than sense.rode_kater wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 11:52 am But that wouldn't be made from 2-way stretchable waterproof material weighing in at 216g.

You can get one of these for peanuts by comparison, looks just as good to me, though I wouldn't wear one myself:
