Reddit group
Re: Reddit group
First I've heard of this group. Interesting!
I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman.
Re: Reddit group
I had heard of 'Reddit' but thought it was all text, Interesting site, but it does go on a bit!

Re: Reddit group
My daughter says I should get into Reddit. I admit I'm not exactly sure what it [Reddit] is...? Is it a forum, is it a social media thing?
Frankly it sounds like just another time vacuum, as if I don't have enough of those. I read the occasional "thread", but like Quora, I never actually participate. I've never felt the need.

Re: Reddit group
Reddit is a series of short-lived forum posts - but mostly top-level, for one specific topic, sorted by date (newest thread first). There might be a better description out there but this is a simplistic way to think of it.
I read that subreddit occasionally, but on a rare occasion a creepy photo surfaces so I don’t post there myself personally or frequent it that often. The occasional icky photo aside, I think it’s a great venue for awareness.

Re: Reddit group
The easiest comparison is that Reddit is a board like this with forums, except that anybody can create new forums (there are 2.8 million subreddits). You can subscribe to any number of forums and it will create a personal forum containing only the posts you're interested in.
So for example I get a personal forum filled with posts from /r/math, /r/crossdressing, /r/animalssmiling, /r/brexit, /r/femalefashionadvice, etc. There is literally a forum for everything. If there isn't you can make one and make it your own personal fiefdom.
As for a fad, it's been around since 2005 making it about as old as Gmail.

Re: Reddit group
Sounds like just another place for everyone to
a) ignore everything I write or
b) nit-pick everything I write
You know... just another day on the net.
I'll pass.

Re: Reddit group
And no, I'm not referring to this site, hence why I keep coming back here... it's everywhere else.
Facebook, twitter: avoid- anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of public opinion, which can have real world consequences like unemployment.
Youtube: Nazi like "A.I." algorithm. Straight jacket on free speech, most comments are ignored unless someone wants to take you to task for something your wrote. You can't say "vaccine" in any context.
Other various forums: Nazi mods make having meaningful discussions almost impossible.
Craigslist: killed by politics
Other social media platforms (tick tock, etc) never used them, but heard they have Nazi TOS. Can't say anything.
On the other hand,
SkirtCafe: Reasonable mods that are mostly laid back. Almost anything goes except for underwear, which is reasonable.
Moons personal website: generous TOS with host, pretty much anything goes as long as it's legal and not a porn site. Nobody really knows it exist or knows where to find it, making it very safe ground for saying whatever I feel like...
Flickr: Mostly for photographers, still, has a place for comments and discussions. Mostly died off when SmugMug killed the free terabyte. You can say pretty much whatever you want within reason, but unless you're posting nudes, nobody will read it anyway.
Anywhere, avoid using your legal name... make the background checkers and investigators work for it...
End.
