Distressing
I purchased one of these skirts in blue and would be keen to have one in grey
.............. until I saw the front of it. Damn, what has gone on here. Mine is undamaged and intact and cost half the price.
I wonder about what the such a garment depicts:
"It was vicious but I survived"
"I need a new washing machine"
"I have lots of money but pretend that I don't"
"I have a pet tiger cub"
I also wonder it the "distressing" process is manual or automated and how someone could take pride in their handwork.
"I am home darling, I just destroyed another 300 skirts today".
If it is done by machine, I wonder what the OH&S issues are in operating it.
I wonder if the previous owner of this one can walk.
.......... or sit down
And more .............
The description includes " Small mark bottom right - May come out with spray. Priced accordingly."

It is not like they are all going cheap
.............................. please explain.

Re: Distressing
They look as distressed as a pair of tights of mine which were put in the wash with a garment that had a velcrose fastener.

Re: Distressing
Washing something delicate with another item with velcro is a death sentence of a thousand hooks and barbs.
AND when you are through washing a load find you are missing a sox or something else check the velcro magnet
Always wash clothing with velcro separately best solution !
In photo 1 of the OP post - one is looking at the back of the skirt -
the next photo (2) is hard to explain - how does this distressed feature attack the front of the skirt ?
The photo 3 - what happened here - got shot with a shotgun double "O" buck or some kind of new fangled branding iron ?
Photo 4 - what is with the orange zig-zag stitch ? Jeans have double stitching at fabric joining
As for photos 5 & 6 - enough of this fashionable rubbish -or- is this the runway fashion of the outback ? LOL !
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

#3 & 4 looks like someone just cut the legs off of a pair of jeans.
Still to short for me

"Distressed" jeans etc is one of the stupidest fashions I have seen. I think it's even worse than baggy jeans below your ass.
FFS, if you really want a pair, surely you can do it yourself? My local thrift store would sell you jeans like that for a dollar!

Re: Distressing
As I have stated before anyone who wears clothes like these and are not destitute should be sent home to put on some decent clothes. I had a friend who made a lot of money buying 2nds and shooting them with a shotgun and hitting them with rocks etc. and then sold them for 10 times what he paid for them. Made a fair amount of the $$$$.
As far as I am concerned they are not fashion they are garbage.

Fashion, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. What we view as unpalatable looks like a million dollars to the people who choose to wear such items.
I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman.

Re: Distressing
Exactly Jeff and also that what we choose to wear is unpalatable to an awful lot of other folks too.
The fact is that there is no harm being done other than to upset some sensibilities and I do that daily anyway.
