I saw Frozen on a plane after having just heard about it. I remember the impact of that one piece "Let it go" as is it so applicable to so many (personal) situations. I watched the movie again just for that song.

I think our safety has certainly become less, here in the US, much eroded from where it was in 2016. After the events of January 6th, my advice is to arm yourselves, train on your weapons, and know the control and dedication it requires to score a kill. A few casualties and the thugs will run for the shelter of their social/popular media. But they will think twice about their aggressive agenda.
As a matter of fact, the sun DOES shine out of my ...

Re: Public safety in skirting 2021
It's not just us. I was talking to a neighbor today who told me a story of a little girl who was belittled and teased for her condition of being somewhat cross-eyed by an ADULT!
I was mortified! What kind of grown man would bully a little girl??
Thankfully most people (99.9%) seem about the same, but it's that 0.01% that are really turning up the obnoxiousness and meanness.
But that's just how it goes when a new religion is born....

dillon, I hope that your comment was tongue-in-cheek because if not, it's an appalling attitude and magnifies the difference between America and a civilised society over here.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

Could just be a North Carolina thing.... They missed their shot at the "cool table" in 2020 unlike Virginia and Georgia...
Which surprised me somewhat, I figured NC to be more progressive than that...
Did you know that GOP candidates in Georgia were actually sending mailers back in December that "Democratic Socialist will ban your hamburgers"?... They lost anyway...
You can't make this stuff up! Gawd they're desperate.
Warning... language is extreme in the following video... but I still love this guy... He's straight up Georgia...

One thing on the video. Why is he copying the irritating thing of going round in circles? For me it detracted somewhat from what he was saying.

I agree our safety has becomes less since 2016 -- but I think it is your kind of response that has accelerated the decline. Part of the problem is "taking the law into ones own hands" which is what the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, etc are advocating. Please don't join them. Simple application of brain and common sense will suffice in most cases to preclude the need for self-defense; and even in extreme cases "scoring a kill" is not a feather in your hat.by dillon » Sun Feb 07, 2021 7:00 pm
