Twit two

Post by Tackleberry »

I walked to the shop to get more cigarrettes (lecture me later lol) and couldn’t be arsed to change from skirt to trousers so went in a skirt...
Got a twit twoo from a female dog walker and all I did was say thank you and a thumbs up...
No one else noticed apparently...

Sounds as if it might be what in the UK is called a wolf-whistle.

So she HOOTED at you?

(Ok, seems in the UK they "twit-two", but the rest of the English speaking world owls "hoot")

Would you call that an owl-call or an owl-whistle?

Fun fact: the stereotypical "beautiful woman" two-tone whistle comes from the US Navy. That type of whistle, done on a boatswain's whistle, was the "your attention" whistle. When sailors went on shore leave, a sailor would let his mates know, by doing that whistle. The thing is, it became so over-used, that it's not as "secret" as it was intended to be.....similar concept to the "Euphemism Treadmill"

Considering how drab/dull typical male clothing is, it would follow that-at least in terms in clothing-men are boring to look at.

So it seems that wearing a strikingly different outfit will get unusual responses from others.

Absolutely true. Men are "seen" but "not noticed" when they wear drab "normal" clothing and if you ask me, the younger male generation are getting absolutely sick of it, fundamentally do not accept it, hence the seismic shift now going on towards gender fluid fashion that the fashion industry is scrambling to catch up with. Put on a nice skirt and matching shoes or boots (esp. heels) and you will get noticed!
