Pleats are a pain the the....

OTOH some people (otherwise good friends) are uncomfortable with a plain old skirt.

OTOOH I'm not comfortable sitting on some strange furniture with my birthday suit.

Therefore, I wear a plain straight skirt or even a pencil skirt as an under-kilt!

Still do the 'swoop and scoop' though and may be getting better at it.

Could possibly just keep a Thrifty-Kilt in the car and wrap-on, wrap-off as circumstances dictate.

I find pleats no trouble at all if I can sit on the edge of the chair and then slide back.

Otherwise, I just hold the back of the skirt to my thighs while sitting. No big deal.

And I find the swish while walking to be pleasant.

Not that I hate pencil skirts; I think they're interesting in their own way, too. Just different.
Courage, conviction, nerve, verve, dash, panache, guts, nuts, balls, gall, élan, stones, whatever. Get some and get skirted.
