Style J skirts

Post by ShayneM.88 »

Has anybody had experience with the brand "Style J" in particular their long denim skirts? I found one that is 41" long and am considering ordering, but was curious about the quality and other people's experience

I am wearing one of theirs now, I have quite a few, ranging from heavy denim and heavy khaki to light slight stretch denim, as well as one or two none denim type stuff. I like their skirts a lot, very well made, sizing accurate, some have decent pockets. Even the fly zips to the correct side for a man. The only thing I dislike is not about Style J or the skirts, it is the price I pay for the priviledge of importing them to this cold damp island called Britain. I am sure the last import cost me as much as I paid for the skirt!

Style J is one of my favorites, if not THE favorite source. I have 4:

...and another denim one. But they are not as long as you are interested in; they are within a few inches of the knee. Style J has excellent quality and as noted are correctly sized. Recommended by this skirter!

Thanks for the 3 links to Style J skirts. I immediately ordered the second, khaki, one.
Finally an American supplier giving inch sizes in stead of interpretable sizes.

Shipping costs to the Netherlands are higher than the price of the skirt. Oh well, so be it.

I also have several skirts from Style J.

The only regrets that I have are from waiting too long to place an order in the hope that
it would go "on sale" or have a "price reduction".

When they run out of a particular style or size, they do not reorder inventory, they replace
the line with a different style skirt. I have missed out on several skirts that I would have
liked to purchase by waiting too long to place an order.

I have found the quality high and the fit accurate and a good value, although often a little
more expensive to purchase than my limited budget allows.

Yes, pulled one on this morning before I have to go out in my "uniform." Have two. Ground-length, lighter weight fabric with some serious embroidery on the back pockets and the "Sandy Dandy" mustard colored one which is REALLY stiff. Yes, a bit pricey, but really fast shipping and customer service is uber-polite. Would order from again if I didn't have (at least at the moment) more skirts than I can wear/store/pack when I have to move.

I like the look of them, and as previously mentioned goes the fly goes men's way, left over right. I'd have a job to justify buying one at present, but I'll certainly make note of the site for the future.
