Indeed it is. I wondered if somebody knew his log-in details and posted it in memoriam, but surely they would have said so.

Yes, this is a major thread bump, but just wanted to let everyone know that I've nominated his flickr account for "In Memoriam" status, which means that no photos of his will be deleted when the 1,000 photo limit for free accounts is fully implemented.

Thread bump or not, that is a worthy action for a great guy and huge character.
Jack was always very kind and encouraging to me in the early days.

Definitely a worthy action, and thanks, John, for doing it. Jack was a heck of a character, and his personality and photography are both missed.

I second Carl and thank you once again John for rekindling interest in Jack. May the Lord be good to him, but he was quite transparently a lovely person and an amazingly interesting guy, to boot. He posted a lot of memorable pics. on this Forum over the years.
