Elkommando owners, measurement request.

Post by partlyscot »

Hi all, if you own a medium or large elkommando, can you please give me the maximum flat measurement at the waist. Please indicate if medium or large, and what year it is. Many thanks!

These are pants size (vanity size), not true waist. I am a 36in waist and wear a size medium. The large it to big for me.

I'll try to remember to measure when I get home. I wear size 33" in most pants and the medium Elkommando is perfect. I tried large and I'd have to put away some beer and bacon to take up the extra room.
You don't get to judge me by your standards. I have to judge me by mine.

And...I want one, but........Unfortunately, they don't make 'em big enough for me.
A size 42-44 is what I need, weighing in at 264lbs. ;)

I have what is called the furniture disease.
It's where the chest has fallen into the drawers :D

Uncle Al,
Well apart from chests of drawers &c. Your organ playing remains not adversely affected, which is the important thing. That particular function relies on the legs, hand(le)s and the top, all of which appear to be in perfect working order. :D

Thanks for that, this is what I have been suspecting. Could you give the flat measurement? I know where the right size skirts sit on my hips, and the perfect size of Elkomando should match those measurements. I'd rather have it a tiny bit snug, than have to cinch in the waist and ruin the smooth look.

I have a Large. with snaps fastened, it measures about 18.25 inches at top of waist.
When I heard about skirting, I jumped in with both feet!

Thanks, this is what I thought. I can wear that, but it would end up being scrunched in. I think the medium will be OK, maybe a tiny bit snug, would prefer it to the excess fabric on a Large. Any flat measurements on a medium please?

Note that the Elkommando is curved when flat. I curved my tape measure on my small, and from snap to snap I get 32.5 inches.

My waist is about 31.9 inches with a tape measure on my belt line.

The actual fit feels generous and not tight at all. I have to snug up the belt in fact.
