Put any historical results of research on where, when and why men started wearing skirts and other M.U.G.s throughout history here. Make sure your information is factual and not just whimsy or whimsey. (both are correct).

My starter is: Underwear is recorded beyond 7,000 years into the past in Egypt where leather loincloths were worn to protect the body from dirt, body fluids, battle damage etc. :roll:
