Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
I'm not sure I like the name given in the description, and it needs an iron.
Surely that wasn't too hard to do before the Ebay photo was taken.
Otherwise it's an interesting utility kilt like garment, and it fastens on the "mens" side.
I'm sure there might be a couple of members here who would rock that one.
I really like this skirt. If it was a size bigger and in Australia I would buy it and wear it.
It looks like fun ............ and that is what life should be about. https://picclick.co.uk/River-Island-Pur ... 95775.html
My name is Anthony, please accept me for the person that I am.
I have one of those. It's actually black, and very goth looking, not my usual style, so it doesn't get out much. But it's decently made, and I think it was male-marketed. Might have to break it back out here soon...
Found on E-Bay and described as Men's Punk Gothic Skirt made by INCERUN https://tinyurl.com/dmzp8845
Made of 75%Rayon+25%Nylon in a good range of sizes.
It has a built in half slip (knee length).
Skirt is midi length.
Elastic waist.
Very comfortable.
[Sorry not sure how to include web pictures]
Warning
Ordered "Ladies Gothic Pleated Skirt Pocket Men's Scotland Kilt Skater Short Retro Rave" https://tinyurl.com/dxm9tah3
I checked the sizes given as reference on the E-Bay page, but when Polyester Kilt arrived even though had XL label "sewn in" but instead of being "XL: waist 105cm/41.3in, hips 125cm/49.2in, length 57cm/22.4in" the waist was only 38 inches.
Did get a part refund.
“Please note this is in Asian sizing, smaller than western size e.g. UK, US, AU.
Please check the measurements carefully before making a purchase.
Please allow 2-4cm discrepancy due to different measurement method.
If you are not sure which size to buy, please provide height and weight,
we will recommend a suitable size.”
The ole ASIAN sizing snafu - - -
XL label "sewn in" but instead of being "XL: waist 105cm/41.3in, hips 125cm/49.2in, length 57cm/22.4in" the waist was only 38 inches.
Those measurements are close oh so close - - -
But then there is no uniform standard applied in the clothing manufacturing industry - one persons XL is another's L or even M - - -
So don't go figure it will fit your figure - go get the tape measure of measure and measure twice for good measure.
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !
Agreed on the maintenance. It always saddens me that someone can't be bothered to run an iron over a garment to show it in a better light, possibly increasing its value and making it easier to sell. Better for the purchaser, I suppose.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
