Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
I hope this is appropriate, but I'm part of a team working on a new D2C clothing brand that sells skirts. Notably, even though women are welcome to purchase, we're particularly interested in specifically selling to men.
Right now, we are still in the early stages of exploration and trying to get a feel about the market. We'd love any and all feedback to help us figure out our direction. I'd really appreciate your help filling this out! If anyone has any particular thoughts, I'd love to hear from you - just drop me a note at denise@fail.vc
I've completed your survey
I would have added an item for the survey - Age Group
Uncle Al
Kilted Organist/Musician
Grand Musician of the Grand Lodge, I.O.O.F. of Texas 2008-2025
When asked 'Why the Kilt?'
I respond-The why is F.T.H.O.I. (For The H--- Of It)
I did the survey. Not completely happy that all the elements were relevant to us and the currency was dollars so dubious relevance. Answers were as honest and best as I could.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
The brands section was a difficult one. I answered "skurts" even though I felt it was simply the best of a bad bunch. None of the other options seemed relevant for a male skirt.

faldaguy, now that you come to mention it, there's no indication as to who the girl? is, what company is being represented. Fortunately I don't see that there is much "personal" information requested that could be used in trawling. Who is denfailemp anyway apart from claiming a first name of Denise? Which could be my alter-name if I were to pose as a woman.

Firstly, thanks for filling it out, it is super useful. Definitely not trawling, just a venture builder (fail.vc), you can check us out.
We use USD because that seems to be the most international metric for price, but we are building for everyone, everywhere, and working with @tripleminor in the UK, so definitely relevant.
We're launching soon, so check us out at actonapparel.com, or @actonapparel everywhere. We know we've not got it right just now, but we hope you enjoy.
All is I see is seeking inputs from us; no participation, and no substance behind anything yet. Very unimpressed. I am most dubious, and certainly not inclined to assist what appears to be empty words and perhaps worse than that. Get it right or don't do it. Monitors -- can you verify anything about these posts from 'fail' guy?

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

My guess is, since they are about to launch, they have gotten all the feedback they needed - or can use - at this time.
