And get this!!! During our discussion today I said something about it being perfectly normal in other countries and cultures for men to where skirt like clothing. You know what she said? "Well other cultures are rapidly changing to be more like the united states, so pretty soon they will be we...

...that if I don't wear a kilt to church this Sunday, I'll be giving the impression that what I do is wrong. Absolutely spot on. I've been going to a country dancing club for the past year. The only time they have seen me in trousers was the first time I went there, and discovered how hot I get whi...

First, we all have to move to the same continent, then the same area, then the same city, then the same borough, then we all have to learn to drive on the correct side of the street, and thennnnnnn we can all donate 75% of our net worth to the association and then we can open a fashion company, IF ...

Hi Big & B. I wore a Utilikilt while narrowboating on the Llangollen canal a couple of years ago - a delightful experience :)

This particular moggy thought the lid was down when he jumped up ...

He had a bedraggled back end and perhaps his expression was one of indignation rather than embarrasement.

I went to the tip - sorry, Household Waste Recycling Centre - this morning, to dump some garden rubbish. I wore a mid-calf denim skirt and brown suede shoes. It's the first time I've worn an actual 'skirt' out in public, I've always worn kilts or sarongs up to now. From a distance, the skirt could b...

Sounds like women can be just as lazy. I always close the seat and lid because it looks tidier and prevents accidents (we had a cat that fell in once. Ever seen a cat look embarrassed?). A side effect is that everyone has to make some effort to use the convenience :D

My Significant Other Judy, after I read her all the replies said she had the absolutely perfect reason for it all. She said urinals were designed by women the way they are as payback for all the years of men using the toilets and leaving the seats up! :naughty: :sarcastic: Hey, what about all the t...

I wear sandals with a sarong, since the whole idea is to keep cool. I wore a Union kilt, plus knee-high socks and shoes to a barn dance. After a while, my feet got hot so I substituted sandals for the shoes. Result - instant comfort, and a comment from my son-in-law that I shouldn't wear sandals wit...

Wearing a kilt, or indeed a skirt in the wind is an experience I'd highly recommend for the sense of freedom it brings. Sadly, most men will never know what they're missing :( Oh well, their loss.

I'd go with the designers wearing trousers theory, on the principle that if they'd experienced the splashback, they'd alter the design.

I usually use the urinal, simply to demonstrate to others (as if it's any of their business) that I'm still a man with all the bits, even though I'm wearing a kilt (which they may see as a skirt).

I've put a hit counter at the bottom of the page. If you click on it, it should give a breakdown of the average hits - well, it does for me :D

Hmm. 1870 - 2006. That's 136 years and all we've lost is the top hat and the waistcoat :(

The Tudor bloomers looked more comfortable than the Victorian trousers.
