Re: high heels and half-inch-itis

Well, don't hurt yourself, and don't wear heels where more traction is required. And of course don't give up either.

Hmmm, OK, for that. Was it traumatic?

Re: high heels and half-inch-itis

Given a really good-fitting pair of shoes, I've spent all day (16 hrs) in heels and not suffered any adverse effects. I still wouldn't tackle an unlit footpath at night. though. You just don't have the traction and if the heels are narrow or stiletto they can sink into the ground. Fit is trickier wi...

Re: Wearing a Dress in Public Today

...As opposition to gay/trans lifestyles erodes, society seems to respond more favorably to those folk and they're ok with a bloke in a dress as long as he's in the LGBTQetc. crowd. But just being a straight white male in a dress? Oh no, that's just weird. Or a joke... Has someone actually asked yo...

Any skirt looks better than any (ugh) pants.

Re: Hello from Chicago (Berwyn) Illinois USA

OK, but either a black utility kilt or a black knee-length pleated, skater, or pencil skirt would be better.

Re: Earrings!

I'm jealous of the pretty dangly earrings I see in the stores. One of these days I'm going to just get the old ears pierced and wear some of those and who care what people think. Go for it, but you'll get better results from an experienced piercer in a reputable piercing/tattoo shop than from some ...

Welcome!

As to wearing skirts in public, keep thinking about it but not too long.

Remarkably, the only person for whom it'd be a big deal is you.

Re: I Finally Did It... My 1st Time Out in a Skirt

Had another day out in a skirt on Monday. Drove an hour to clothing optional beach near Byron, wore it onto the beach then off again, drove to get fuel, paid for fuel then drove to Mullumbimby where I parked, bought lunch, then sat in a local park to eat, then went for a walk through the park. A fa...

Re: Man in a dress on 'First Dates' television show

...we still live in a society where it is probably more acceptable for a man to wear a dress as a woman than just be a guy in a dress... That's curiously true. At least, it seems there are more cross-dressers, transvestites, and MTF transsexuals than there are male skirt-wearers. You may not notice...

I've had several outings in a skirt now. One was a whole day, the others part days... ...I don't think the general community really cares, it's our own insecurity about possible adverse reactions... Congratulations and yes, spot on, our own insecurity far outstrips any negativity from the general c...

Re: Pockets differences

...I found a better way to carry my pocket stuff. I found an olive drab military looking shoulder bag with two pockets with velcro flaps, a zipper pouch, and a zipper compartment ample for my wallet, hanky, hand sanitizer, check book, and other incidentals. It looks manly... I was long reluctant to...

Re: Cuban Heels

Following on from my last post, could the Cuban heeled boot be a gateway to wearing heeled shoes that are traditionally associated with the fairer sex? Yes, that's certainly possible, although I did it in reverse. I started wearing 1", then 2", then 3", then 4" heels but my wife...
