Re: The Beskirted Man

There are many more "unsung heroes" on Reddit and Instagram, many who just go out there end enjoy life. Many youngsters using the IDGAF model just get out there. Vicson Wong is one who features on Insta with his own look, https://www.instagram.com/skirts_for_men/ The people who feature al...

Re: The Beskirted Man

Evening Stevie I completely agree. There are men (you for sure) who are making great contributions to MIS without the international accolade given to MB. I ponder the reason why? 1. Luck. Don't estimate luck. This weeks DID's, Deila Smith said she was washing dishes in a French restaurant when she ...

Re: New Technologies

If 3D printing is truly adequate for building houses and other larger structures, then it is an absolute game changer. It's already being done, but it is basically messy layers of concrete piled up... Same issues as the cheap filament printers available to regular people, just on a larger scale: no...

Re: New Technologies

BTW...on the importance of how you make things..... Will 3D printing turn out to be a major game changer, as the Industrial Revolution was? Or will it turn out to be a minor thing? 3-D printing (additive manufacturing) is good for some things, not so good for others. It is great for prototypes, dem...

Re: The Beskirted Man

A lot of what women wear is about impressing other women or boosting their own confidence. Don't underestimate this. ... Perhaps women's garments are made for women's benefit and they like the feeling - but I'd want to see some survey data of women to know for sure. I could point to numerous adverti...

Re: Male anatomy

Okay, a few points: Anything with more texture, less shiny will help. Just like texture and/or a flat finish in wall and ceiling paint helps to hide imperfections in what's underneath. Patterned fabrics may help as well. Intentional things in the construction of the skirt. A front fly (or even just ...

Re: The Beskirted Man

Practicality. Maybe that's the real thing to get over. The idea that guys must always be practical. It's nonsense, but there it is. Much of menswear was once practical, but it's now just a formalized rut we are stuck in.

Re: The Beskirted Man

There will never be a catalyst for men in skirts like that and mere fashion, with all the influencer leverage that can be mustered will take a hell of a time to equal that. Another aspect is that masculine traits in girls are seen as positive while the opposite is never very likely to be applied to...

Re: A case of mistaken skirting - pays to read comments

However, remember that by living a rigorously ethical life puts you at a distinct disadvantage. You need to accept that, or simply join the herd. No, I would disagree. Stay above reproach. Live a moral/ethical life, holding yourself to a high standard. Build a good reputation. Then when the attacks...

Re: Skirt over pants

The "Barn Door" comment, usually relates to a boy who forgot to zip-up his pants after visiting the restroom/bathroom at school. Another phrase was to tell a male to XYZ(Check Your Zipper) after departing a public restroom/bathroom, say at a restaurant or other eatery. I've heard the barn...

Re: The Beskirted Man

Just like skirts for men, there are historic and cultural examples of trousers for women. That said, I would agree that the modern push for women in pants took on the order of a century to change. That leads to the obvious questions of: 1. Should we expect the change for men to take more or less tim...

Jeanne Calment . Longest verified human life, at a bit more than 122 years. This individual would not be one in a million, but rather, one in a billion . I suspect that she reached the absolute limit. So far. There was an herbalist in China who was claimed to have lived over 250 years: https://en.m...
