Re: Bear Grylls

Ah, my mistake. Mr Grumpy was the grandfather of the dashing Mr Teffeta. How fashions change!

Re: Bear Grylls

Here's the marquess is a pair of tights, a silk dress and taffeta. Looks really good. Bear should keep it in mind the next time he walks the dog. Screenshot_20230615_235722_DuckDuckGo~2.jpg I could give the taffeta a miss, but the rest of his rig is great! Maybe a wee bit too flamboyant for this ye...

Re: Silly Season

It's an annual occurrence, hardly newsworthy. I don't understand why schools don't allow shorts. No doubt half of the girls would wear the shortest and tightest shorts they could find, and the schools want to avoid that. But the same girls turn up in teeny tiny skirts which barely cover their backsi...

Re: HYPE: It’s Official: Men Are Now Experimenting With Skirts

To me it looks like he twirled the skirt around to make a back zipper look like a fly, or he just didn’t know how to wear it. The zippers on flys are usually not exposed. I agree that belt loops are preferred for fit, plus they can “masculinize” a skirt a bit if they accommodate a man’s belt as wel...

Re: Skirted boxer Harry Garside

Sorry to burst your bubble but, this was published on Skirt Cafe', on 18 April. Harry Garside in Skirts and KIlts for Men. I had a good trawl through "In the news" before starting this thread, thinking that this is where to find a thread about a news article. Oh well, some you win, some y...

Texans beware

... particularly if you work for the government. https://www.vice.com/en/article/n7ebag/texas-ag-transgender-dress-code-memo Could well be the thin end of the wedge. You have so many batshit crazy right wing politicians over there, all trying to outdo each other with their illiberal bills. Plenty of...

Good to see that you are still enrolled, Ron! The purple one is great, and it goes very well with the green tattoos.

Re: Spain - Gran Canaria

Remember to apply sunscreen, especially on the parts that face upwards towards the hot African sun. The tops of the feet are obvious, the tops of the calves less so. And have fun! I've worn skirts all over Spain, from San Sebastian to Santiago to Seville, and it's just like wearing one in Britain, e...

I'm a big fan of this skirt. My 90's curtains some would say :)
Going right back to the top of this thread, I'm a fan of that skirt too! It looks like great fun to wear.

And jumping to the most recent posts, what was your first outfit for the playground?

Re: 2003 revisited

My goodness, that is the thread that refuses to die, it's been going for 19 years! The comments do seem to get more accepting over the years. There are still a good few people against the idea, but the abusive remarks have petered out, and there are more "why not, if you want to" comments....

Based on that, I'm not sure skirts are general fashion for women!

How's your ratio of colomn inches per skirted hour coming on, Stevie? You'll have to go some to catch up on Messrs Pattinson, Pitt, Beckham, etc!
