Re: Corona Virus

by Gusto10 » Thu Oct 07, 2021 10:08 am Faldaguy posed a question and I answered him. I hope he is happy with my explanation. Sorry Gusto, but all I read/hear/find in your presentation on Covid is obfuscation. It seems our efforts to communicate are merely getting us mired without any apparent utili...

Re: Breaking the Gender Binary with Rob Smith | Rob Smith | TEDxCMU

by Stu » Tue Oct 05, 2021 3:59 am I partly agree with him that people should be able to dress as they want, but there is an internal contradiction in his point. On the one hand he says he wants to break the gender binary while, on the other hand, he is still associating clothing with gender. To my ...

Re: Corona Virus

by Kirbstone » Wed Oct 06, 2021 5:06 pm Btw., There are none of us front-line health workers who aren't well vaccinated, That's for sure. Tom Tom, I'm not surprised at that where rationality reigns; but I've been shocked at how many in medical fields in the U.S. who are mostly Trump supporters, hav...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

That is part of the problem -- they are not "men's" or "women's" anything -- just a skirt; and we rather expect to see the ladies in such attire from time to time--the more delightful surprise is if her male co-workers are as well!

Re: How the length of a skirt can inhibit learning?

by Ralph » Sat Oct 02, 2021 12:32 pm All that being said, "my house, my rules." Employers and school administrators have the right to take steps they believe will make everyone do their jobs more efficiently, and if we don't like they way they run things we can shop elsewhere. Ralph! Shop...

Re: Flashbak: “You’ve Forgotten Your Trousers Sir” – Bunny Austin’s Shorts and the Men’s Dress Reform Party

by Charlie » Fri Oct 01, 2021 6:24 am I'm with you there Dennis, with the should I /shouldn't I conundrum, more in the early days. In the end I get fed up with wavering and think 'To hell with it. If they don't like what I'm wearing, tough!' Charlie Thanks Charlie. [And I enjoy your post line too.]...

by moonshadow » Fri Oct 01, 2021 10:04 am Okay... let's not have any rules. Hey Moon, you itchin' for a fight? I've heard you many times stand up for an employer proclaiming they have the right to dictate what happens in their workplace, and to some degree I concur although in many cases the...

Re: How the length of a skirt can inhibit learning?

I think we need more mothers, and fathers, getting peeved and delivering some alternative views. Much of this cafe is because men have been conditioned to conform, seldom for any logical reason other than control. That is not the way of achievement or progress. As to 'distractions' -- life is full o...

Re: What is the oldest skirt you own?

Like Jim, most of my skirts are second hand, so I've no idea of their age. The oldest new to me "skirt" that I still have (more of a wrap) dates to about 1976. I do have some "vintage" in appearance skirts, one of which may have a few genuine years to its name: A Manos Bratis, sk...

Re: Skirt marketed to men

I'd have no problem finding a time/place to wear it, but it will have to show up on the second-hand, consignment, Goodwill type rack first! It is nice to find something a bit different, but without being absurd to keep the message going.

Re: How the length of a skirt can inhibit learning?

Thanks UA -- a useful 'thought' piece, easily understood and shared to bring folks around. I suspect "RULES" get in the way of love, peace, and sanity more oft than they help....OK, there is a challenge....

It seems the "joined" line answers that; and the 'posts' are clear too -- perhaps the quotient is the number we should be asking about? :cheese:

From long enough to covers the goods to shoe polishers -- I fail all the ID secret question tests -- "What is your favorite...." . How dull -- if you've got favorites, you may as well wear your always black slacks or blue jeans.

Hola Bodycon
Who knows where the journey will take me.
Kind of sounds like life! And yes, the comfort factor carries right along in most any endeavor and time.

Does the name have story that goes with it?

Has anybody checked this out? Party posting, presumed company and purpose....? Something looks a bit dodgy to me.
