Beating Fritz 16 (Beginner Mode) in a game of chess without peeking or taking back a move. As part of the above, watching my "rating" increase as I notice tactical opportunities and combinations I would not have noticed before I started seriously playing the Fritz program (in Coach mode). ...

Re: Sydney Catholic school allows shorts

I was just imagining the scene if "The Karate Kid" decided to wear a skirt...or a dress. And handing out a little "Chuck Norris" to any bully who landed the first blow. Purely in self-defense, of course. 8)

Re: Slips as shapewear and as undergarments

I've always worn support hose, graduating to tights and leggings and combinations thereof in colder weather. Given the above when I started wearing skirts it was as a prelude to the arrival of my kilts, and in my reading I had come across the statement that some rental places insisted on clients wea...

Re: Guy in Valdosta

Actually, I have to put in a plug for YYYYMMDD-00:00:00.00 in Coordinated Universal Time...or being a cranky old guy, Greenwich Mean Time. I played with an old IBM 1401 SPS machine, but worked with S/360 DOS. I started out liking skirts, now I like a dress here and there....too girly? Give me time, ...

Re: Guy in Valdosta

The most interesting attempt to explain things from a human perspective, in my opinion, is "Genesis One" by Dr. Gerald Schroeder with Zola Levitt. Basically, G-d wrote the formulae, so to speak, into the matrix and BANG! Best Answer: Matter cannot travel faster than the speed of light. But...

Re: The boys are not all right

Why is society pushing this warped notion of masculinity on men? Why? Why is it pushing it on women? ... I realize and understand your pointing out the difference between masculinity and machoism. However to the public at large there is no difference. Much of this may indeed the the byproduct of ra...

Re: The boys are not all right

... Let's have a short look at machismo as a bullet list: Bravado Aggressiveness Insensitivity Sexist attitude Bellicoseness ... Why is society pushing this warped notion of masculinity on men? Why? Why is it pushing it on women? That, I think, is the $10B question... I have some friends who are......

So then what are the official defining characteristics of masculinity? ... Adaptability Competence Wit intelligence Wisdom Dignity Confidence Empathy The ability to use all of the above either singularly or in combination ... That's a good list. I've generally been a Heinlein fan and considered thi...

I'd likely wear the outfit, change out the shoes and possibly the legwear. And certainly lose whatever that is on his back.

[1] I've been patiently waiting to use that image for weeks. Glad I could help, I've been itching to bring up the "flat Earth" thing here at the cafe for equally as long! I refrained as it has gotten to the point (locally) where politics and religion collide! :shock: I'm starting to be pr...

Redefinition:
  • Pantyhose = Thinnie
    Tights = Thin
    Leggings = Thins
    Fleece-lined Tights = Midi thins
    Fleece-lined Leggings = Maxi thins
So there! :D

So you can go out in the winter in your thinnie-thin-thins..... :scratch: ok....going to my room.....

Re: unisex clothing.

I downloaded several things here and there that show like a week's worth of outfits with only 14 items of clothing - you just use a different mix every day. I'm happy enough using a few outfit guides like that if I like most of the outfits displayed...wherein lies the rub. Compare: Trousers: Navy or...

Moonshadow, How do you KNOW there's no continent at the North Pole? Given that old (how old?) Santa's got to be wielding some kind of "magic" or "sufficiently advanced technology" to distribute all the goodies in one day, keep tabs on the 'naughty/nice' list, replicate all those ...

Re: Running into family / friends / collegues

I didn't even think about it when I started wearing skirts. I just went places I needed to go to and did what I had to do. I've met, spoken with and otherwise interacted with friends from my church with no problems - being dressed in pencil skirts, a-lines, midis, minis, running skirts, dresses, and...
