Re: would you wear these sci-fi unisex dresses?

If I recall correctly, women in mini-skirts were a feature of the original Star Trek, back during the 1960s. Of course, males were almost always in trousers.

Re: The Macabi Skirt

I have two of the original, and one knee length. I have never tried the slim version. With the original there is no problem with walking. I haven't tried running in one though. (I have arthritis in my knees). I would describe the original as a rather long A-line. It looks like all three designs are ...

Re: A case of mistaken skirting - pays to read comments

The handbag was certainly a thing - but designer/luxury handbags have been gaining popularity with men I've read. Could just be a reflection on that like pearl necklaces were a thing briefly (or are they still a thing???). Perhaps items such as these will eventually gain traction. But like MIS, the...

And you will note that none of the (main) male characters wore those.

Re: A case of mistaken skirting - pays to read comments

Aside note. Dior handbag? Not many of the skirts I own have pockets and when they do they are shallow and I don't trust them. Consequently I carry my wallet and keep losing it around the house. I either need some kind of wallet holder or a handbag but I would probably lose that too. The handbag was...

Another link that didn't work. The web site listed about 30 different types.

General types. Not my particular interest, but I must acknowledge the variety, which may be important for self expression.

Re: Doing away with "Embracing feminity"

Elaborating on my last post, the membership is more diverse than it might seem at first glance. The membership is broad enough/inclusive enough to have everything from Braveheart to Trans. One might assume that this would be unworkable, yet somehow it does work. Again, I refer back to the general li...

Re: Mouse making something....

I did a thread about converting jeans into a skirt, using fabric glue. I am sure it will be ok if you don't actually sew, so long as you are making something.

Re: Doing away with "Embracing feminity"

Reread the title of the thread, and thought that "embracing felinity" depends on the individual member. A few members may view themselves as having a feminine side, while others may not share this self image. What do members have in common? Listed: 1. In general, a live and let live attitu...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

No pockets, but this waist pack works fine. I won't use a purse because I'd be apt to leave it somewhere. I witnessed a woman forgetting hers (and subsequently called her). I reached the conclusion that only ones that can be strapped on are practical. How many women have forgotten theirs, allowing ...

Re: International Men Can Wear Dresses Day

You might, for example, go the route of StichFix, and offer a paid subscription to assemble, and send, a different outfit, or set of outfits every month, based on user preferences/body type. Or, as another example, you might get companies to pay you to offer their clothing on your own website, by f...

Re: Doing away with "Embracing feminity"

Notice how none of the above categories, nor any their respective examples happen to be inherently female (notice, also, that unbifurcated garments peculiarly don't show up at all in the above list. Hmmmm....) In some non-Western there have been other conventions as applied to men. In the context o...
