Hi Nervous.

I prefer to think of it as Broad Gauge.
For those not in the railway world, look up Isambard Brunel and the Great Western Railway - not the modern copy!!

Heavyweight division here!!
48" waist, 50/51" hips, 6'2" height, 299lb/135.7Kg. Tend to wear kilts, but need to look for 24/26 in a skirt.

Tom,
You have my sympathies. Our furry friends don't have as long on this planet as we do, and it's always sad when they say goodbye.
I hope Benjy's successor arrives soon.

Re: Men in skirts links
I note that Barry's 'Men in Skirts' page is no longer accessible. Has it been moved to another server (I think it was on Tiscali) or is it gone for good?
I had a message appearing to be from Talktalk.

Re: Boys Protest In School Skirts
In the UK it is fairly common for primary (age 5 - 10) boys to wear shorts as part of the school uniform, particularly in summer - in fact there are some fee paying schools where it is the uniform and nothing else is allowed. At secondary (11 - 16 or 18), then the mandate appears to be long trousers...

Re: Common Vision
As pointed out by Grok, one route could be the 'Stealth Skirt'. There used to be a couple of suppliers who would make one of these. Unfortunately, I think both have ceased trading. In the UK, we had Mr Anubis for a time, but they eventually closed down that side of their business (I think they are s...

Re: Skirts are cool, boys are told
Well, not quite. Here's a story of a boy in Mid Wales who wore a skirt after being told he couldn't wear shorts, only to get into more trouble.

Re: For the Grammar Police
And, we are rapidly reaching the situation of requiring American - English and English - American dictionaries.
You say color, I say colour, you say gotten, I say got, and then we go into jelly/jam, cookies/biscuits, pants/trousers etc.

Re: Men can "rock" skirts too!
As a resident of a large city in the West of England, I see variants on the 'hoody'. Hooded sweatshirt with hood permanently raised (aka 'surgically attached') = sinister character, possibly up to no good. Hooded sweatshirt with hood lowered, or only raised in inclement weather = casual wear. A vari...
