Re: Greetings from Las Vegas

Hi, David, and welcome to the Skirtcafe. :welcome: I wear skirts all of the time I spend about 99% of my time dressed, in a skirt. I like knit knee length skirts as well as denim knee length skirts.

Re: "Selfies"

I have always had trouble taking pictures of myself. I can never just get it right. So I am going to try the video method and then pick frames to use as photos. Hope that will work.

Re: "Comebacks" for remarks made at your Unbifurcated

Today while checking out at Wal-Mart the SA asked why I was wearing a skirt and I told her that it was comfortable and I liked it. Her response but they are ladies clothes. I said no they were not they were mens clothes long before they were taken by the ladies. She could not come back to that. Fre...

Re: Men Wearing Nail Polish

I regularly paint my nails both toe and finger. I like the OPI color "Coney Island Cotton Candy". It is not all the noticeable and what I get is 2 or 3 coats on the toes and 1 coat on the fingers. I don't do them myself I go to a spa and have them done by a professional. It lasts longer a...

Re: Hello from a new member

:welcome: Hi Robert, I don't use the word cross-dressing as I am not trying to be woman. I am a straight male of 73 that loves to be comfortable and skirts are just that. So I wear them all of the time and everywhere I go. I have had no "bad" reactions but have had some discussions with p...

Re: Saw a what I thought was a cool "skirt" today

[0] I got into trouble for that one at an early age in public school here in the US where we were supposed to regurgitate, verbatim, assorted bits of stuff. I've always had a sense of humour, and a sense of parody and satire. So, needless to say, I got sent to the Headmaster's office (again) when I...

Re: Look at this FINE piece of craftsmanship!

Here in Oz we also have rumble strips, the idea is to wake the driver up. John We have them too! They are a series of 1 in high strips of tar and gravel spaced so that they cause a sound like an automatic weapon as the tires go over them. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: They sure do work too I can vouch...

Re: "Comebacks" for remarks made at your Unbifurcated

Since I started to wear skirts in public I have had no bad comments. I ran into a former co-worker at the drug store and she did ask why and I said they are just so comfortable and I really enjoyed wearing them she agreed with me. But that has been it. Maybe I have been lucky I don't know....

Re: Elasticated Skirts

I tried one on today, a really cool tiered denim skirt at the GoodWill, but it just had a zipper and no elastic. Sadly, it wouldn't zip up. I was very disappointed because it looked like an awesome skirt. Oh well... better luck next time. If the price was right and it fit I would have bought it and...

Re: On crossdressing

I have to agree with moonshadow. The clothes I wear are mine I bought them therefore they are menswear. While I also wear dresses at home I wear skirts in public. I do not try to be a woman because I am not a woman I am a straight man. In doing some research a while back I found an interesting littl...
