Re: Winter Leggings

Perhaps it's my age showing... :P but I think the guy looks pretty cool!

In fact... I think I'll give it a pin!

Re: Votes Matter ... or Do They?

What would be really interesting is if the vote is so close that we have a repeat of 2000, only this time Clinton carries the electoral college and Trump carries the popular vote. Clinton would win and "red America" erupts in a political firestorm! All states have gone away from punch card...

Re: National Coming Out Day

Cool! Not to rain on this very positive post, but I've basically "came out" to everyone I feel comfortable with doing so up to this point. Those who remain (Dad) wouldn't care what day it is, it would stir great troubles regardless. But it's good for those who can gather with other like so...

Re: Votes Matter ... or Do They?

Do votes matter...? A somewhat complicated question with a complicated answer, at least on the national and to some degree the state level. Ever since I have been old enough to vote and follow politics to some degree, and the older I have gotten, I have realized that with each passing election, no c...

Re: After Action Report: Meeting in re: Transgender Rights

I explained that in the past people, especially women, had died, or had been tortured (I think of force-feeding in jail as a form of torture), whilst protesting and campaigning to give everyone the right to vote, Stevie - There are conflicting takes on that narrative these days. Check out Prof. Jan...

Re: After Action Report: Meeting in re: Transgender Rights

Jury duty is generally dreaded over here stateside. For good reason too, it's mandatory, as in required by law, if your chosen to serve, and it doesn't pay much. So if you have a high paying job and you have the type of bills that come with high paying jobs, such as a big car payment, mortgage, etc ...

Re: Leggings

"Leg warmers". Yet another '80s fashion victim statement, although leg warmers are definitely useful for dancers. Very, very, few of us are dancers, however. Googled that, seems like the "style" was to have them scrunched up. Perhaps unscrunched they might not look as bad? With ...

Re: Leggings

The lack of a fly is what pushed me away from leggings and tights in general as it makes a trip to the restroom quite an ordeal. On my trip to the store the other day wearing my "hurricane" tights, between the tights coming up to my high waist, the skirt about an inch above my navel, and t...

Re: Tips for Beginners

To continue on laundry: Most of my skirts are what we would consider "delicate", although there are a few rough and tumble ones in the mix. Generally, I try to separate all clothes by whites, blacks, and colors. I may mix darker colors in with blacks, but I generally NEVER mix whites as ev...

Re: Tips for Beginners

Even to this day, I do still occasionally get butterflies, especially if I'm going into an establishment that seems a little "red". Why just today I stopped at a little out of the way gas station in B.F.E. wearing one of my flower skirts, decorative top and granny sweater, the gas station ...

I second what Stevie D said...

It's okay to push boundaries generally, but people tend to get funny where children are involved...

Some sad news...

For those who recall the man that I wrote of in this thread ... (click link) Jenn informed me some time ago that the man who was known as Michael Rouse apparently met his death September 26th 2016 after he was struck by a car late night in Marion VA while he was walking home after visiting his son. ...

Hate to hear that about your mother-in-law. Stay rested, and don't allow yourself to get overwhelmed.

Nice to hear you're still skirting in the face of trouble. :thumright:
