Saks Prada advert
This advert regularly pops up on the BBC News app on my phone. https://i.postimg.cc/8PP4Pjhx/saks-prada.jpg I'm not sure on the sex of the model, but it looks to me like this image is on the masculine side of androgynous which, on one level at least, I find interesting. But... I have to query whethe...

Re: Christian Bretheren lumping us in with the crossdressers again.
Videos like this just reaffirm my staunch atheism :-) Should folks like Pol Pot be used to reaffirm my rejection of atheism? There seem to be misguided folks in any belief system. This is not the way to win acceptance. I'm not a history buff here so I stand to be corrected, but I thought that Pol P...

Re: Skater Skirts Wearers Weight Loss
Congratulations. Would be interested to hear how you managed to achieve this goal. I've had several half-hearted attempts at weight loss in recent times (with limited success) but I am now at the point where my health is suffering due to my diet and I need to get my weight as well as eating / drinki...

Re: Dr Who
Woke is a subject in its own right that I'm sure that we could argue about for hours here. In recent years (where the likes of Trump and Farage have been in the ascendant), a common tactic has been to simplify a topic down to a single word that can then be thrown about as an insult without any fear...

Re: Moral Outrage Because of a Small Clip
He likes dresses and he's being groomed etc. When a girl is encouraged to wear the same it is apparently not sexualised. The girls are wearing girls clothes and that's OK. If I step back from what I'm seeing and what I'm being told, then it's ok to sexualise females because that's their role? To be...

Re: Dr Who
More info here. I've actually recently severed (Internet / Facebook) contact with a longstanding friend over Dr. Who (among related matters). As a self-described Dr. Who nut (should that be Whovian?), he has nevertheless turned his back on the show that he has loved since early childhood because of...

Re: The Spectrum: I Don’t Care that Harry Styles Wears Skirts
From what I’ve seen, Harry Styles (and Sam Smith for that matter) tend to wear “designer” outfits - ie those typically worn by models on catwalks that rarely have any relevance to what is worn on the street. For this reason, they tend to give of an outlandish, look at me vibe. I can only recall one ...

Re: What is your favorite movie?
I like movies about real happenings or true stories I'm conflicted about such films as in all too many cases the writer or director either takes poetic license to add fictional (or historically questionable) content or airbrushes out less desirable traits of an individual or story. When much of a f...

Re: DA MAN Magazine: Skirts For Men: Yay Or Nay?
Wondering if the original article that Coder referenced is an example of AI journalism? The Medium article was interesting. It linked to another article (7 reasons why more men should wear skirts) that I was tempted to check out. Unfortunately you have to sign up / be a member to get the content. Pr...

Re: AugustMan: Men In Skirts: 7 Male Celebrities Who Skirted The Fashion Norms
Didn't notice this thread when it was originally posted by Coder. Came across the Augustman article via Instagram (glad I did a search before posting :-) ) This article led me to UK GQ's coverage of the Robert Pattinson Paris Dior show appearance back at the start of '23. I think this was a great mi...

Amline Thomas. Skirted, Belgian poet / spoken word performer. Looks like he has only recently set out on his social media journey (limited content on FB, Insta, Pinterest). Here is a video (YouTube) of him giving one of his performances. Nice outfit

Re: Jolygearr hiking sun dress
Took a look at their Instagram page and gave them a like/follow. Couldn’t see any men modeling the dress. Don’t think it would work for me, but it will be interesting to see what future designs look like. Think I prefer the idea of the purple rain skirt or even a sport skort over a hiking dress.
