Re: AGE APPROPIATE
Part of the dilemma is that men, with some exceptions, of course, tend to have shorter legs and longer torsos than women...not to mention our dangly bits. But as for your right to express yourself with your clothing, I don’t think you need to be 74 to enjoy the right. But you, OS, served your countr...

Re: Getting there?
Anything that suggests sexuality or gender seems to be a tough sell. I’m doing my part, but I won’t hold my breath in anticipation of a significant cultural change. Not, at least, in my lifetime.

Re: Very intriguing styles
I mentioned this site before, also loved the skirts. But they are sized for Chinese girls, not for old Anglo-Saxon men.

Re: Thoughts on what colors would pair with this skirt
Personally, I’d go for a white Henley with a black vest. SkirtsDad had the tights right - sheer black, white, or gray.

Re: How old were you . . . . ?
I had my first urges toward non-binary engendered clothing when I was 13, and explored alternative dressing during my college years, including ballet classes, which led me to a liberating relationship with a small local modern dance company in Raleigh in the early 1980s. At that point, it was about ...

Not cold yet, but it will be. For now it’s my kind of weather. I can’t function in the 90 F-plus temperatures we had all summer.Fred in Skirts wrote:Just colder than usual!!dillon wrote:Can’t advise you. Here in the Carolinas the weather is magnificent...for now.

Can’t advise you. Here in the Carolinas the weather is magnificent...for now. I just returned from a few days at the farm. Aside from a machine breakdown that took me half a day to diagnose and fix, it was a fine trip. But I have had to make a difficult decision, which is to demolish the 1970s doubl...

Re: In defense of feminine men
Sorry if I tarred everyone with a Y chromosome with the same brush. But it would require precision surgery to remove the pure and unafflicted from the rest. Not all men are brutes. But most men are not aware that they less than models of humanity, and perhaps very unaware of how masculine competiven...

Re: Custody battle in Texas over 7-year-old transgender
The worst thing here is that it takes a disruptive custody battle to bring attention to the broader issue of how parents should be educated to deal with gender identity. But consider if the kid had parents united in the belief that it’s a duty to impose their own view of appropriate gender identity ...

If she ever sidled up to my Volvo's rear end she'd be in for a nasty surprise.....I've fitted a socking great towball that would spoil her smile good and proper. Tom We do have a country-esque and very politically incorrect expression over here you’ve brought to mind...something about finding a wom...

Re: WHY DIDN'T WE HAVE A DRUG PROBLEM WHEN YOU AND I WERE GR
Opiates were, in those days, derived mainly from natural plant based sources and represented significantly higher costs relative to average income. Those addictive drugs were largely heroin and cocaine. Today we have a flood of drugs like fentanyl and other synthetic opiates that are powerful, cheap...

Re: CNN article
Although Tahitian culture seems in this regard more advanced than Western culture, it seems to still segregate, even if into three cubbyholes rather than two. I think cubbyholes are invalid in total. What’s wrong with allowing people to define themselves? Maybe a feminine man, or masculine woman, fi...

Re: In defense of feminine men
Masculinity and femininity are innate characteristics. Interesting statement given what Freedomforall said earlier about his feminine traits being learned through exposure to his sisters. (I know another guy in that situation. He had 3 older sisters and no brothers.) In a way, when a man puts on a ...

Re: Custody battle in Texas over 7-year-old transgender
I would have little optimism for the child’s interest in the state of Texas. Or in almost any southern state, including my own. I just wish people voted what they feel in their hearts, rather than what pleases their gender/sexuality-aggressive church, neighbors, family, or friends.
