Re: Progress - maybe lack of it
Getting back to the thigh rubbing, I have found it is no longer a problem for me, it used to be, but having lost a lot of weight due to illness, my legs have slimmed down enough that friction is no longer an issue.

Re: Sacaï Men's Spring and Resort 2023
Well spotted Hawkeye Stu. They are very much like the "divided" skirts, that our female gym teachers wore. There is a thread around somewhere on that very subject. In the flesh, I'd be pretty sure that they would appear even more "skirtish", no benefit of zooming in. Too pricey ...

Re: Humor - What can you add?
Must admit, I used to really like Tim Vine, we went to see him at the Edinburgh Fringe, ended up in a lot of pain from laughing. He is so quick that neither of us could remember any of his jokes, but he was so funny. there are a few comedians these days who are excellent with one liners, I see what ...

Attributed to Tommy Cooper: "Your dog bit my leg the other day." "Oh dear! Did you put anything on it?" "No, he seemed to like it as it was." That is very Tommy Cooper style! along the lines of: Doctor Doctor, it hurts when I do this! "Well don't do it then!"

Top from the Edinburgh Fringe Ten jokes made the 2022 shortlist: 1. "I tried to steal spaghetti from the shop, but the female guard saw me and I couldn't get pasta" - Masai Graham Is it because they are out of context or not being delivered by a comedian on stage? I heard the winner deliv...

Hi and welcome! if it helps I have openly worn skirts around Southampton airport and in Fareham, as always, no noticeable reaction from anyone, a complete non event outside my own head!

Re: Time for a rant - padded backsides!
Or a Cumberland sausage? 3 foot long and coiled? Too far? I'll get me coat! I like to coat them in mustard. Steve. Fried in their own juices, served with a mound of proper mashed potato, maybe with peas, maybe white cabbage, gravy if you want. I have never liked mustard, the only time I ever buy is...

Today's peeve, well peeves: My house has got fleas. (Thanks cats!) hopefully the pack of flea bombs will arrive today and I can do something about it. Peeve number 2: having to pick, order and then prepare the ales for a real ale festival having just found out that my liver is not fit enough to drin...

Re: Time for a rant - padded backsides!
This thread goes to show that some members haven't got a clue what is going on in the great wide world, myself included. A diverse bunch and every day is a learning day. I would have thought though, that if you were going to "cuddle" someone, you would have some empathy for them. What any...

Re: Pet Peeves:
Here in Scotland I would say that on a dry bright day a few cars might have headlights on, not many. In poor weather a lot more will. In poor light it is annoying that many folk rely on their day running lights. All very good apart from the fact that the modern day running lights are only at the fro...

Yes I plan to, although I am struggling to think what there is to eat and drink now, it's a challenge! but it's also the future, for me.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large
Well, today it was off to RAH Paisley (a hospital type structure) for a fibroscan. I wore one of my skater skirts, because- comfort. I was there for a couple of hours, no comments, no obvious looks, complete non event. Passing time in the cafe between scans with the breeze from an open door teasing ...

Re: Best news ever - must read
I have worn denim skirts around Glasgow, Sheffield and London, on planes and trains and when out walking in the village, never a negative comment and hardly a look. These days I have got a bit braver and mostly on my walks I wear a navy blue skater skirt which is a firm favourite of mine, if only it...
