Re: A deal I couldn't resist

Looks elegant and sensible. I love how it drapes but a skirt will never drape like that for me since I don’t have hips at all! What material is this made of?

New ABC television show Grown ish with a MUG appearance

With some serious Jaden Smith vibes, there was a short appearance of a man in a MUG in the first episode of the new ABC show “Grown ish.” It is a spin-off of ABC television show Black ish, featuring the eldest daughter of a black family going to college. I think a lot of us are old enough to remembe...

Re: short skirt article. . .well a short article about skirt

Skirts have so much versatility since they’re made in many more different shapes, lengths and ways than pants. Practical for every occasion and weather with a little adjustment sometimes. You’re never underdressed in a dress (or a skirt)

Re: Boy NOT sent home for wearing skirt

What a great story. I love the encouragement they give him. There’s no shortage of it for young people but less so for boring old grown adults. I guess that’s why we have each other.

Amazed at the bold first outing story! How encouraging that nothing bad happened. May there be many more like this.

Re: More Than A Quarter Of California Teens Are Gender Nonco

Gender is a social construct. A decade from now we will see that there was a gender revolution.

Re: What Is the Lure of Skirts?

It makes me feel happy and pretty. It gives me a way to express my feminine sensibilities. I shave my body hair for the same reasons. The other qualities of skirts are a bonus, such as the comfort. The difficult part is balancing personal happiness and personal safety. This is still something I am f...

Re: Interfaith Marriage

I like how we seem to have different experiences and beliefs and kept it civil and inclusive. This is a great board and a great group to be a part of. There was a thread a while back that asked “what happened to everyone” or “where did everyone go?” Was it something like this thread gone wrong?

Re: Interfaith Marriage

A big subject, this. To get any point across really well would require very long posts. The relatively recent film 'The life of Pi' which became popular World-wide, initially depicts the early life of the Protagonist, growing up as a child in India, where his parents kept a zoo. At age about 12 he ...

Re: Interfaith Marriage

When we went to the service, there was an incident that didn’t sit well with me. Am I being too critical? The minister had a lesson about tithes. He said that Jesus spoke more about money than salvation (I would want to verify that). Then it was about his family and he knows how hard it is living in...

Re: Interfaith Marriage

Thanks everyone for the great input. My wife has never asked me to abandon my principles but I am worried that there will be growing pressure to do it. The church is an Assembly of God denomination and I was told by a friend who is an ordained minister that they do not take kindly to non-believers. ...

Re: Interfaith Marriage

I do think that considering the age of your child, I would say he is to young. I would wait till he is 6 or so. Even though I'm an atheist also, I do think that given the perspective of history, old law systems (Egyptian, Israelian/jewish and Roman), early migrations and clarifications of matters n...

Interfaith Marriage

I am finding that after 6 years of being with my wife, we are now entering a phase of having an interfaith marriage. I hear this situation is becoming more common. I am an atheist, she’s now an evangelical born again Christian, and we have a 4 year old child getting dragged into this too. Anyone els...
