Re: Black for a change

As a musician, the reason we wear black is because it's not about "us", it's about the music....

Same here in my part of Ohio, common at festivals, not so much outside of festivals except for me and a few of my converts!

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Last night, I visited our regular watering hole "Vito's Wine Bar". A cute young gal behind the counter took my order and as she scanned my card, she said "hey, aren't you the guy that wears kilts in here sometimes?". I said yes and offered that I was currently wearing a sarong. S...

Re: The right skirt is the superior cold weather garment.

This is one of the reasons why I prefer a long skirt to a kilt. I do wish that calf length kilts were "canonical" in the kilt community - I would offer every excuse in the world to wear one all the time. The Kilt is too short to keep you warm in winter, and too woolen to be comfortable in...

Re: Captchas

Carl, I have been playing around with a technique I am using for some of my sites, that is, when I present the "form" to whoever lands on my site, I present the form with a built-in timestamp pulled from the current time on the server. Then, when the form is submitted, I check the server t...

Re: Last night!!!

Tackleberry, Good job! I have to coax myself step by step the first time out. Just keep doing it, it gets easier every time. Yesterday, I wore a full-length, A-shaped brown cord skirt with a light blue shirt, bow-tie and sport jacket to church, then out to a restaurant afterward. I talked with a few...

Re: Very long men's skirt by Qasimi

I think it's great that the designers are still putting men in skirts. Perhaps someday it will spill out onto the street!

In general, I too like the longer skirts, but my knee length kilts are great for summer!

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

My wife and I joined a church about a year ago, I have always attended church in a kilt or sarong. Today was the church hayride and picnic, I wore a new pair of Carhart bib-overalls. Many people commented about them and it's the first time they had ever seen me bifurcated (in so many words). Keep um...

Re: skirt/kilt for a year

Guys,
I don't "need" to wear a skirt or kilt everyday. Rather, I like having them as a choice. I also enjoy tuxes with pants, shorts, workout shorts, etc. About the only kind of "pants" that I dislike at this point are jeans.

Re: My long skirt

Rick, I like the skirt. Your body language is very defensive, if you look like that when you walk down the street in that skirt, people may run for the hills! Lighten up, it's OK! We gotta get together sometime before the snow flies... we have a couple of nice festivals coming here, the Greek Festiv...
