Re: Skirtcraft Kickstarter is Live

So go for it! Looks like folks have gone for it; the $14K target has been hit so there will be black skirts and Khaki skirts in the first run. So people who did not want a black skirt can now pledge to take a khaki skirt from the first run. Ian. Whilst I would have taken a black skirt, my preferenc...

Re: Difficulties with partners

I think that the attitude of partners is a big issue when it comes to wearing skirts and maybe to a slightly lesser extent kilts, and probably puts many men who might otherwise be inclined to try either garment from doing do so. My wife was initially very unhappy about me wearing a skirt outside the...

Re: Skirtcraft Kickstarter is Live

Such a smart looking skirt. For those of you who are really comfortable in skirts please, for the love of God , contribute. MANY OF US, need this skirt to become a reality so that we can more easily convince others and ourselves that it is okay and not abnormal to wear a skirt. Some of us want to b...

Re: Finally went skirted to a baseball game

I often wonder whether the people who find trouble are the ones who expect it and so give off a frighted or nervous aura that acts as a trigger. Have fun, it will show through and demonstrate your confidence, Ian. Ian has given advice along these lines before on this forum, and its something that I...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I went to my allotment yesterday in my Land Rover, wearing one of my simple wrap around skirts as I often do when I go over there. An old'ish Polish woman was was watering her nearby plot, and having seen me there in a skirt before before, I think she was watching to see what was wearing this time. ...

Re: At last I went out in public

I don't like returning home as I still put jeans on once I get in our road to go from car to house, that's the down part. I don't want neighbours to know as I don't like or trust any of them. I'd like the chance to be out and about, relaxed a lot more. We liver in a close on a modern estate, so man...

Re: Riding a Bike in a Skirt

I tried riding in a knee length skirt yesterday, but found that the hem came up well above my knees. I'm currently trying to figure what would work.

Unfortunately the picture is very small so its difficult to say, but I guess the main thing is whether you like and are comfortable in it.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Last Friday I travelled from Horsham up to Peterborough, via London by train, to pick a Land Rover I'd brought. I decided to wear a utility kilt type kilt. No one with whom I can into contact with on the day, made any comments about it or seemed to express any surprise, and I never noticed an "...

Re: Having problem to get out in public

I think some good points have been made here, and from my own experience I can understand why you might have decided not to go through with it. One big plus point you have is that your wife is on side, mine has been out with me when I've been in a utility kilt a couple of times, but she isn't really...

I feel exactly the same about it, and I look forwarded to being able to buy one.

My outfit for travel to Grenoble, almost formal, with tweed jacket and denim wrap skirt (pleatless kilt), ideal for narrow plane seats. Whiling away time in Geneva airport yesterday. image.jpg Martin I think your travel outfit looks great Martin. Last week week I wore a similar denim skirt when dri...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Briefly spotted yesterday on the 16.44hrs Gatwick Express from London Victoria, and again on the platform at Gatwick, a man in a red tartan kilt.
