Good shots!
Nice photos, Mike! I can't for the life of me see why your co-singers would have given you grief over your kilt. It looks fine to me!

Herd mentality.
The Daily Mirror[/i]"]Schoolboy Billy White may have gone a step too far though. The cheeky 13 year-old borrowed a skirt to wear which earns him full marks for initiative-but nil points for style. That comment is so sad, and so misguided. I'm not sure which reporter or editor let it slip into print...

17 inches, guts, and lunch
Well, I finally screwed up the nerve to wear one of my 17" minis out to lunch yesterday afternoon and it turned out to be.... a complete non-event. Now I'm put to wondering why I was so nervous about it in the first place.

"--- a housewife worried people will think she's a lesbian if her husband wears a skirt" I'm sorry, I cannot follow the logic here. Why would anyone think that - unless the husband was a full-blown cross-dresser/transvestite? I personally suspect that the only vehicles by which that jump in logic w...

I don’t look at it as free advertising. They gave me the shirt and I like it. OK, I can deal with that. No offence intended. On any given day I will run into a half dozen people I work with when I’m off work. Small town, perhaps? (Not a bad thing, mind you, I live in one myself and wouldn't change ...

Futbol
[Football] is war without death fought to a simplified set of rules that most men find easy to understand. The fans/spectators can see understand what is going on, and for the duration of the match, they feel they also understand the world and their place in it. Are you referring to US style "footb...

Off the clock means off the clock
Unfortunately some companies can and do chastise an employee for what they consider portraying the company in an unfavorable light when the employee is off work. My employer frowns on any association with men in skirts and I am the reason they developed a policy against it because I wore a kilt to ...

When those who make the rules have to work in the same conditions that they impose on others, their common sense will change. That's a nice thought, sir, but I fear that it's not likely to happen any time soon. When was the last time you actually witnessed a "policy maker" in situations even remote...

Testosterone city!
Check this out! Cheap eats if you wear a skirt or dress. http://www.racingwest.com/news/story.php3/13735/ I especially like the mention that (to paraphrase) "'males or females' qualify for the discount". Usually, one equates motor sports in the US of A with an astonishingly high level of testostero...

I'll have to say that in reading the original article I'm actually rather surprised on how well everybody in question is handling the situation -- quite unlike, I suspect, what'd happen on these shores. Billy has shown quite a bit of pluck and steadfastness in his "protest" and hasn't been castigate...

Kilts vs. Skirts
But, a Kilt IS a skirt. Yes, that's true in a broad context, and well within the dictionary definition. But, let's go beyond that distinction for a moment. Kilts are a very specific subset of skirted garments -- so specific, in fact, that the distinction has brought people to blows because of it (a...

Skirts are cool.
Well, the sun has been beating down hard here in recent days and I've really enjoyed wearing my well-ventilated kilts. I do feel I need a cotton version though as I only have denim and acrylic right now. A downright skirt is, however, not wife-approved right now so the expense would be too much I t...

"Tops"?
I would hopefully expect to see some 'attractive' tops (ie shirts, blouses, etc.) as well. I find men's tops to be as unattractive as most pants. It's even hard to find a women's top I truly like. This is one of the things that has been giving me fits. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what t...

I felt rather sorry for the other guys in their ugly, baggy, drab-coloured shorts :D Well, whom amongst us lot wouldn't?! The Wife and I just got back from Sunday dinner "out", her in a sky-blue mini-dress with a seashell print, me in a yellow dress shirt and a burgundy silk skirt. If you've not wo...
