Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large
Strange; I seldom feel out of place or uncomfortable in my skirts -- until I'm in a gathering where I'm the only one as all the women are in pants! However, I have found some of the ladies that often wore pants, in places we commonly are, are now wearing skirts more often!

The Freedom Virus: Are you infected?
Is the steely determination of skirtcafe members to flaunt their "individualism" a risk to society? John Davis, in a provocative article raises the question of what he labels the "freedom virus". This particular article is primarily from a historical USA perspective, but many of the tenets are ...

Re: Wooden creations
Gracias. Good reminder of the value of dovetail joints to keep things true so you can open/close them smoothly after years of use, rather than the cutting time with easier joints that give way too soon and all utility is lost. I sometimes need that kick in the tail -- a bit of old fashion quality co...

Re: Are you using the remain in place rule to your advantage?
Sounds like an opportunity for a lot of guys 'still in the closet' with their skirt wearing preferences to break out into public. I suspect a lot of 'excuses' and 'rationalizations' could be plausibly created to cover your coming out. Got to be a few silver linings in the Covid clouds. Get creative ...

Nice grain matching. Interesting juxtaposition on the upper/lower pulls.
Maple, alder? Wood rails or did you make interior room for mechanical rollers?
Missing my shop while 'hanging out' at this Oregon beach retreat awaiting birds that fly.

NOT AT HOME: Marooned in a small, but nice, cabin on the Oregon coast. Came to the US for Lesley to get tissue transplants in both eyes then the borders closed and birds stopped flying just as her procedures were nearing fruition -- so we are castaways! Time to catch up on more posts here; an over-a...

McDenim clan
I like it. Almost worth having a kilt with all of the elements custom made, except in denim just for the fun of provoking the opportunity!
